These art work are ones of my art project using trash toys that i collect from my little kid and his friends who already didn’t use it anymore. It produce sounds from small electric component from the toys.
Make a “new” thing from “trash” are fun in other side, for me it's so fun to do it and when it get appreciated from my kid, feel like yeeaahh...... your father so cool hahahahha.......and i can see it on his face when he look at the result. no, not just for that kind of reason, for me, more important thing is how to show to my son how i proud and confidence with what i have done, just from what on around us we can make something by our hand and not just buy the ready ones from a toys shop. Playing and making any kind of art are be ones of my method to built relationship with my son and family.
When i was a young kid there's no cheap toys like now, if there is, it’s still to expensive for my parents to buy it for me, sometime i must cry like crazy when i wanted some thing, but still my parent didn’t give me one, not because they don’t want to but they didn’t have enough money at that time (when i become a father, now I really understand it). At that time, some of my friends they get what they want, for me, i joint to play it together it feel like in heaven, only just to borrow it for 5 minute, it mean something to me.I think that kind of memories keep me falling in love with “artistic” toys until now, sometime i ask my son, can i have this toy to make an art works?
Playing is not make you like a young kids, more than that, it’s bring all your childhood memories in front of your face again.

I'm a visual artist currently researching a new work around Bali. I'm wanting to investigate why tourists flock to this now famous Indonesian island, what are the preconceptions of Bali that drive them to visit? And, how are these presumptions often misconceptions about the entire Indonesian archipelago?I intend to collaborate with a Australian artist.
We are brainstorming a cross-cultural, long-distance collaboration.
